Tour diaries…
9 March 2010
So we have completed the first 3 dates of our tour… It’s a first for me, living on a tour bus and showering in scummy venues but so far I am actually enjoying it. It’s quite draining but I am enjoying dressing like the dude from the Big Lebowski on arrival at most venues. Today I have a fabulous ensemble of a tracksuit, a leopard-print fluffy bath robe and a pair of blue brogues. Due to tiredness and extensive dressing up in the evenings I have lost a grip on my usual obsession with presentation and am having a mini revolution dressing like this! To most I look like a psychologically unstable homeless person but inside I am revelling in the freedom of this OUTRAGEOUSLY dreadfully uncoordinated attire. It’s like a mini Paloma revolution. But by the time I am due on stage I seem to manage to pull it together and look all glam again! HURRAH!
SO far we have played Warsaw, Zurich and Cologne and all were great. Tonight, it’s Hamburg, and I have to say the venue is stunning… Good old balconied theatre venues aye?!
I am having a wonderful time and am enjoying the spaces in between.
Often in London there are no spaces in between.
I haven’t even brushed my teeth yet and its 2.30pm THE REVOLUTION IS MINE!!!!
