Miss me??
18 May 2010 –
Dear all,
Sorry its taken me so long to update you… It’s been a whirlwind as usual. I went on holiday to Cuba and had an incredible time there… You can see my Cuba diaries on youtube. I am currently gearing up for all the summer festivals and the last tour of this album at the end of the year. I hope you have all been buying your tickets! I want to play some new material on this tour and also some new arrangements of the old album tracks. I intend to up the anti as much as I can and send it off in style! The last night is hammersmith apollo in London which is a big one! I saw Florence and the Machine there the other night, she was amazing! But the venue itself was [banana] hot. I advise you all to wear shorts even though it is in November!
I am so excited about the show. The stage set is shaping up nicely. I want to just say farewell to this album beforeI go into hiding and start writing for album two. I have had such and amazing time with this album and I hope I do even better on album two… I am so grateful for all your support.
The other exciting thing is that at the end of the year I am supposed to be making a new film. I cannot yet reveal much about it as we are waiting to find out if the funding will come through etc but if it does go ahead it’ll be amazing! Its such an incredible script I’m so happy I have got the part! I’ll let you know as soon as I’m given permission!
That leaves this summer… All the festivals. I cant believe I got the pyramid stage at Glastonbury! I’m so happy. There are other things in the pipeline like a duet with Ray Davies from the Kinks and singing with Sandie Shaw this summer too… I’m the luckiest girl in the world. All I have to do now is get rich! Haha… but to be honest, I’d rather do this and not be rich than be an investment banker… Not that there’s anything wrong with that, its just not for me…
Now here I go, off to beaver away as normal… See you all on the long haul to November!
Love and kisses as ever you WONDERS OF THE WORLD!

Dear Paloma,
Although I don’t like the more modern music at all and the last time I liked something was in the eighties, I am beginning to get drawn in by two new artists ‘Eliza Doolittle’ and you because you have such an amazing style and an equally amazing vocal it’s untrue. There never has been anyone else like you and will never be bedause you are so unique.
best wishes
Jonathan

Dear Paloma,
I hope you read these,
You are amazing and better than any other artist i’ve ever heard. You have your own style and I love you!
I saw you at Leeds and it was my first concert and i don’t think i will see another one like it. I was sat on the balcony at the front, I think you waved at me at 1 point but probs not! You were so funny and better live than i had ever heard you, and i didn’t think that was possible!I love that you do big band music aswell as chart stuff, i love big bands, they are so together and beautiful, After the Leeds concert i really wanted you to say hi and sign my top, but you didn’t and i was so upset!, I wasn’t allowed to wait at the end either, i tried to persuade the guy who was clearing up to talk to you and get you to come out, but i don’t think he could :(, Anyway your outfits were beautiful and unique. And my gosh, your shoes, so jealous.
I hope i get to see you again one day and maybe even meet you, your voice is amazing and so are you! You are my hero

Dear Paloma,
I have always been a rock fan over the years but recently I decided to let Napster introduce me to some new stuff. I listened to various tracks from different artists but your ‘Upside Down’ really blew me away. So I downloaded your album on the back of that and haven’t stopped singing your praises since then. I absolutely love it. It is such a fabulous album with every track being worthy of inclusion. It just shows what you can discover if you take the blinkers off and explore.
Anyway - can’t wait to see you live and just wish I could make it to Glasto. Roll on the next album!
Cheers hon

Good luck for Sunday - I hope the surprise goes down well and you get to be on before the football, so that’s good I guess. Stevie Wonder though - wow.
Ramona Marquez does not want to become and actor she said so you will have to find another for your life story. ( re: Radio Times)The BBC are doing a good job to support you for sure.
