Blackfriars here.
Abbey Road is a vital, important source of new music for we Canadians. They introduced me to Elbow, The Fratellis and of course, Paloma Faith. We have an excellent public broadcasting system and good radio because of the CBC, but commercial radio stinks and the American dominated entertainment business keeps us isolated from British and European new music.
Since Paloma Faith and her band were on Abbey Road I’ve shared it with as many people as I can.
It doesn’t matter if they are in their early twenties or late fifties, the music resonates with everybody. The performance is jaw dropping and the band beyond description.
So, “Pretty please, with sugar on top, try to come to Canada and visit London, Ontario”.
A new, very happy fan.
