Terry Gilliam Film Screening and Impending Single Release
8th September 2009 –

Whatcha!

So here I am sitting on an aeroplane on the way to do a showcase in Milan. We nearly missed the flight because my manager’s assistant forgot to take in to account the sheer bulk of the dresses I wear! I had to take loads of stuff out of my bag to make it apply to the weight requirements. That was humiliating! So my single ‘New York’ is out on september 13th and I hope you all buy it first week because it would be STUPENDOUS if we could get this one into the top 10 this time. I really think its one of my best songs and I’d be so delighted if it went top tenarama. Not to mention the fact that on the physical version, the B side is LOVE YA which will not go on the album, so is your only chance to get it!!! Some of you long-standing fans will know that this was one of the first songs I ever wrote so it’ll be nice to put it out there. After the release of ‘New York’, on the 28th of September comes the album….. MY DEBUT! I can’t believe it! It’s so exciting! It’s called Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful? - You can pre order it now anyway from HMV/itunes/myspace/my website etc. Anyway, all exciting stuff fo’shizzle!

And finally, last night I went to a screening of the film I am in The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus. It’s amazing. Terry Gilliam is such a genius. I must admit it was very moving to see Heath Ledger deliver yet another wonderful performance and the moment he morphs into the other (replacement) actors, it hits home how undeniably sad it is that he passed away so young in his life. There are references to some of these things in the film. How those icons who die young will be eternally young and forever in our hearts, remaining as they were when they left us. I was very moved. The film also discusses subjects close to my heart such as the tragedy that the art of storytelling is dying in contemporary culture. People are too cynical to take notice of the subtleties…You must go and see it, it’s so beautiful. And when I wasn’t in tears, I was laughing my head off. It’s also, very, very funny. What a treat! It’ll be out in October - I’ll let you know when.

Until the next time-keep using those wonderful imaginations of yours!

Big kiss

WOW!  Just caught Paloma on Channel 4 music show.  Why have I never heard of this incredible talent before?  Stone Cold sober is fantastic - catchy and instantly loveable.  New York is amazing.  All songs supported and delivered by a stunning voice, performance and stage pressence.  Just incredible.
Looking forward to the Album!
Wish you all the luck and success you deserve,  Kat x
